The Education Support Programme (ESP) is a foundational pillar of the Danmodi Students' Care Initiative, designed to eliminate financial and infrastructural barriers to learning. Implemented under the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students' Matters, this comprehensive intervention ensures academic access for underprivileged, rural and out-of-school demographics across all 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Jigawa State.
Out-of-School Child Re-entry
Rescuing vulnerable children from the streets and integrating them into formal basic education.
Examination & Transition Security
Absorbing the financial burden of high-stakes national transit examinations (WAEC, NECO, JAMB) for indigent candidates.
Inclusivity & Traditional System Synergy
Extending direct academic, physical and welfare support to traditional Qur'an schools (Almajirai).
Closing Sector Manpower Gaps
Funding targeted scholarships in high-cost professional fields like Medicine, Engineering and Law to build Jigawa's local workforce.
Basic Education & Enrollment Drive
Targeting 25,000 out-of-school children state-wide with free uniforms, writing materials and textbooks, plus 300 bicycles and wheelchairs distributed to rural secondary students and children with special needs.
O-Level & Tertiary Entry Registration Subsidies
Free registration of over 11,000 students with academic deficiencies for private WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, alongside free JAMB PINs and centralized exam screening.
The Scholarship Portfolio
Integration into the state's ₦8.1 billion scholarship fund (roughly 35,000 local and international students), dedicated fellowships for 150 Master's and 50 PhD candidates, and full Law School tuition, logistics and stipend coverage.
Premium Security Academies
100 high-performance laptops provided to Jigawa indigenes trained at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and Nigerian Police Academy (NPA).
Traditional Almajiri Empowerment
Structured financial and essential item distribution for 2,500 Almajirai and 287 traditional Qur'anic teachers (Alaramma) per mega-cycle.

Identifying vulnerable, out-of-school children and deficiency gaps across 27 LGAs.
